Description
There are stories in the Appalachian Mountains that were never meant to travel.
Some were carried through generations, told in low voices on front porches and in dimly lit kitchens. Others are newer. They surface along backroads, in small towns, and across quiet conversations, spreading just as quickly… and just as quietly.
This collection gathers both. From old folklore rooted deep in the mountains to modern urban legends still taking shape. These stories speak of shadowed figures in the treeline, voices where no one stands, and places that seem to remember more than they should.
Some have history behind them. Some have witnesses. A few have no explanation at all. These are not polished fairy tales. They are something closer to truth, however it chooses to appear. Some things are better left unseen. Not everything in this book listens.
Read them with the lights on. Or don’t. Just don’t expect them to stay on the page.
